VMware vCenter Log Insight 2.0 – Upgrade Process and Screenshots

Been a while since I’ve updated my blog. Been busy in my new job and finding joy in doing what I like to do so far. The job allows me to get exposed to the technologies that I’ve believed in and able to deep dive, it simply blow me away 🙂

I’ve shared the release of vCenter Log Insight 2.0 a couple of days ago on my twitter and facebook and I would also like to take this opportunity to share on the steps to perform the upgrade via PAK file for those who have Log Insight. The process is rather simple but I guess I’m really using this context to share a couple of screenshots for your reference. Further, I think I’ve been posting things that are rather obscure (not many people uses the tools I’ve posted) but I guess if this helps in anyone at all, it does not matter it’s one or many that it helped.

So here goes.

PS: Before you do any upgrade, remember to do a snapshot of your VA for vCenter Log Insight in case of mishaps. 🙂

Step 1: Login to vCenter Log Insight and you should see your default dashboard screen as below.
